Bill Goodwin is Founder and Managing Partner of Goodwin Executive Search, where he is responsible for end-to-end search execution and client development.With extensive experience working for clients within the technology and services sectors, Bill has completed hundreds of executive searches over the last 15 years across all functions and continents, including C-suite, VP, and Director levels in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
Previously, Bill was a Managing Partner at Adam-Bryce Executive Search, where he opened and led the North Carolina office. He was an SVP and Managing Consultant at UK-based search firm, Morgan Howard, and worked as Senior Associate at Korn/Ferry International early in his search career. Before entering the executive search industry, Bill worked in the Washington, DC office of U.S. Senator John McCain.
Bill is a graduate of Wake Forest University, and earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.In his spare time, Bill serves as a fundraising chair for the Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia. He is also actively involved in the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, the North Carolina Technology Association and the YMCA’s Community Hope programs.Bill lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife and three young children.
Jon Lohr - Principal
Jon Lohr is a Principal at Goodwin Executive Search, responsible for end-to-end search execution and client development. Jon’s experience includes working with and advising some of the top C-level executives from companies like International Paper, Hilton, Wal-Mart, Mastercard, and Amazon.
Previously, Jon led the Human Resource and Talent Acquisition group at World 50— an invitation only, global community of senior Fortune 500 HR executives. Through his work with the best HR executives in the world, he has an acute understanding of what great executive talent looks like and how to attract it.
In addition, Jon launched two businesses from their inception and knows first-hand how to assemble effective teams that align with a company’s culture and values.
Jon is a graduate of Wake Forest University and started his career with Accenture in the Change Management practice. He currently lives in Atlanta with his wife, Alison, two small children, and one large dog.
Paul Conway - Strategic Partner
Paul Conway is a Strategic Partner with Goodwin Search and is Founder and Principal ofConway & Greenwood, a national retained executive search consulting firm. Mr. Conway brings almost twenty years in retained executive search consulting, which followed his career in financial services. His retained search practice has always focused on delivering significant value with the highest levels of integrity for its clients. As a testament to this, more than 90% become repeat clients.
Prior to executive search consulting, Mr. Conway’s career in Banking, Capital Markets and Mortgage Banking afforded him the opportunity to serve in a wide variety of leadership and executive management capacities. These include President/CEO; SVP Head of Lending; Director of Capital Markets, Secondary Marketing and Interest Rate Risk Management; and Senior Vice President, National Sales. He was fortunate to have been sought for increasingly challenging roles at leading financial services companies that began at the Cameron-Brown Company (First Union Bank/Wachovia/Wells Fargo), and included Verex/Greyhound, Congressional Mortgage, Southeastern Savings Bank, and PMI/Allstate. He concluded that portion of his financial career managing several channels of business at GE Capital.
Mr. Conway holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolinaat Chapel Hill, and graduated “With Distinction” from the School of Mortgage Banking at Northwestern University. He is a recipient of the CMB designation, which is the highest professional designation awarded by the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. Mr. Conway has gained admittance to the AESC (Association of Executive Search Consultants). This international body requires a significant due diligence to confirm that only the highest quality practices are admitted. He is a native of North Carolina and began his career in Raleigh, before moving to Charlotte, Washington, DC, and then returning to Raleigh to join GE in the early 90’s.
Mr. Conway is married to Page Kane Conway of Newport News, Virginia. Mr. Conway is committed to his Christian faith and serves on the Board of Trustees of St. David’s School. He is a founding member and former Vestry member for Holy Trinity Anglican Church. He has three sons and one daughter and is active in all they do. Paul’s personal interests include triathlons, tennis, home renovation, and sailing.
Katie Baker - Project Coordinator
At Goodwin Executive Search, Katie handles all administrative, marketing and social media responsibilities as well as assists with recruiting. Katie has experience working in the recruiting industry as she previously served in the operations department at a leading national military talent firm. There, she provided administrative and project support to the Account Executive team and the Regional Sales Manager as well as planned, coordinated and managed monthly hiring events throughout the Southeast. Previous to that, she provided project administration support at a design firm in Boston, MA. Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT in 2009. Ms. Baker lives in Raleigh, NC and in her spare time enjoys writing, traveling and cooking.
Carrie Lawrence - Project Coordinator
Carrie manages the offices of Goodwin Search, and provides administrative support to the firm’s clients and partners. She comes to our team with 15 years of experience working for Hilton Hotels Corporation and holds a BS degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech.
Ruell Tantay - Research Associate
Ruell Tantay is Goodwin Executive Search’s lead research associate, where he handles all data entry and research requests.
